IT Facilities at Birmingham Graduate School, UK.

We have a spacious IT laboratory which houses cutting edge technology. This lab allows students access to over 100 computers for the purpose of research, coursework or assignments. Our lab also has facilities for printing and photocopying. All computers within the college are equipped with high-speed internet and other essential applications, to ensure all requirements that’s students may have are met.

All students upon enrolment are furnish with an individual log in and password which may be used on any of the pcs within the college, this allows students to save documents to the folder ‘My Documents’ which will then allow the student to re-access those documents from any pc within the campus any time.

All the computers within the college offer access to the internet and for those students with laptops, the campus Wi-Fi allows students to access the internet on their own laptops from anywhere within the campus.

Live Campus:
We have a cutting edge integrated virtual learning environment, which acts as our academic community of Professors, Lecturers and students where there is a forum to discuss topics and share opinions. The system also holds all module guides and supportive material such as Study Skills Advice, a bank of past exam papers, hand-outs and recommended extra reading all help ensure exam success.

As part of this system students are also able to upload their assignments to Turnitin before their work is assessed by their tutors to ensure they have adequately referenced and not made any accidental plagiarism errors.

Feedback from academic staff on assignments is swift and comprehensive through BGS Moodle which can be accessed electronically by students as well as hard copies of feedback available from the registry.

The electronic calendar, timetables and notice board are regularly updated to notify students of important imminent events helping students to organise their time and binds the BGS academic community closely together.

This LIVE is accessible from any internet enabled pc, allowing student to obtain access to this invaluable environment around the clock.
