Our MBA Top Up programme is an avenue for students to enter onto the MBA programme when they have already completed a post-graduate qualification from an alternative institution (either a university or awarding body)

This qualification is essentially an MBA programme however students are able to use the credits they have achieved in their previous post-graduate qualification and obtain exemptions from our MBA programme. This results in student completing a reduced version of the MBA programme, hence MBA Top Up.

The exemptions may only be sought if the previous credits gained at post-graduate level are comparable to the modules studied as part of our full MBA. It is deemed if you have studied a module in a particular topic at a level 7 (post-graduate level) you will already possess the knowledge and skills, therefore repeating these modules a second time would be a redundant exercise for students.

The list of approved bodies from which a post-graduate qualification may be used for exemption is:

Any University (UK)
Edexcel
ABP
ABE
CMI

If you currently hold a post-graduate qualification which is not on the above approved list, please contact our admissions team to verify if it may be accepted.

Career Prospects:

This course has been designed to provide students with thorough business training so once graduated students will have the capability and knowledge base to take up a post with any company within the UK as well as any of the multi-national companies (MNCs) but will also be highly prized by SMEs (small and medium enterprises).

Students who are interested in a research and/or academic career can consider progressing onto PhD level of study post-MBA.
